“I could write a long-winded piece on why I value Michael Martin. Realizing that most people have a very short attention span and barely read anymore, I have opted for a short one. “I worked with Michael Martin a few months ago when trading had become especially frustrating for me. I had read Michael’s excellent book, “The Inner Voice of Trading,” which spoke deeply to me as I was learning about trading and the psychology of trading, and how difficult it is. After many decades on the planet and after having gone through innumerable workshops and courses on goal setting, etc., I finally learned how to set effective goals. “Finding Michael was the missing piece to my puzzle. I was much like most traders – all over the place, always seeking as much trading “know how” knowledge as I could in hopes of achieving consistency. “When I started trading the stock market several years ago, I knew NOTHING. My plan was I would figure it out as I went along. If a stock moved, I would click the button. I was clueless. What was truly frustrating was to hear people say, “If you can’t make money in this market, you must be stupid”. I kept thinking, I will get it. And, little by little, I picked it up.
